Locations

Process Objective#

Locations are used to track location information for users, assets, and other items

Overview#

Locations is very useful for knowing the location information of all assets and other items in ProTag since we spread them to different locations. This will make it easier for us to manage assets.

Features and Functionality#

Here is the Locations interface:



Create New Locations#

You can create new location.

STEPS

  1. Press the Create New button on the top right corner of the tab.

   Here is the Create Location interface:



  1. Enter location name.
  2. Select parent (If you want to make it as a branch of another location. You can ignore this and make a new one instead).
  3. Select manager.
  4. Enter location currency.
  5. Enter address.
  6. Enter city.
  7. Enter state.
  8. Select country.
  9. Enter zip code.
  10. Upload image. Click the Select Image button, then select the images you want to upload from your local. See the instruction before uploading.
  1. Click Save button to finish your record.
  2. Click Cancel button to cancel your record.
  3. Click Back button to go back to the previous page.

Update Locations#

You can update your location record by clicking the update button in action column. The steps are the same with create new location.



Export#

You can export locations records to CSV, MS-Excel, MS-Word, TXT, JSON, XML, and PDF by clicking the export icon, then select export format.



Set Column to Display#

There are 10 columns in locations tab. You can select what columns to display here by clicking the column icon, then checklist the columns.



Refresh#

Click the refresh icon, and your record will be refreshed.



Search Locations#

You can search your locations record by typing in search field beside refresh icon. The system will automatically show the result. Click the close icon next to search field to cancel your search.



Delete Locations#

You can delete locations record by simply clicking the delete icon in action column.



Note : The locations cannot be deleted if it's assigned to by any item.

Show Locations Detail#

You can see all users, assets or items that are assigned to certain location by clicking the location's name.



Here is the locations detail interface:



Location detail has additional features:

  1. Update Location button, it will lead you to update location page.
  2. Print Assigned and Print All Assigned button, clicking them will show a printable page with assigned or all assigned to location records.


Error Message#

  1. This is required field.


To save the record, you must fill the required field.

  1. Accepted filetypes are jpg, webp, png, gif, and svg. Max upload size allowed is 8M. Upload is file size MB.


Your uploaded image is too large. Upload image with 8 MB size or below.
